Gephi is the leading visualization and exploration software for all types of graphs and networks. Gephi is open source and free.
Application in education
Gephi is a tool for data analysts and scientists who want to explore and understand graphs. Like Photoshop™ but for graphic data, the user interacts with the representation, manipulating structures, shapes and colors to reveal hidden patterns.
The goal is to help data analysts formulate hypotheses, intuitively discover patterns, isolate singular structures or flaws during data collection.
It is a complementary tool to traditional statistics, as visual thinking with interactive interfaces is now recognized to facilitate reasoning.
This is a software for Exploratory Data Analysis , a paradigm emerged in the field of Visual Analytics research .
