Description
OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is the world's largest computer vision library. It was developed by the Open Sour Vision Foundation and contains more than 2,500 open source algorithms for computer vision and machine learning. These algorithms can be used to recognize faces, identify objects, classify human actions in video, track moving objects, among many other applications. The library is used intensively by companies, research groups and government entities.
Application in education
OpenCV is primarily designed for computer vision engineers. The university programs gives them fundamental bases of knowledge in AI and more advanced areas of study.
