TED is an American-Canadian non-profit media organization that posts international talks online for free distribution under the slogan "ideas worth spreading". Hundreds of TED Talks are curated from its annual conferences and published on TED.com. Conference speakers are selected by a curatorial team who identify and investigate ideas and innovations that matter. Prominent academics, educators, researchers, philanthropists, environmentalists, scientists, technologists, artists, activists and others present short lectures – the signature TED Talks – in their areas of research and expertise. It's groundbreaking content in an immersive and educational environment. TED also produces original podcasts, short video series, animated TED-Ed lessons and TV programs that are translated into more than 100 languages and distributed via partnerships around the world.
